The next meeting for Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, April 3, 2008, at the 4-H building on the southwest corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames. A map showing the location is available here. CyRide's Blue route runs past the building. The program will be a video about the BS7H Scarborough Reef DXpedition. Scarborough Reef, located in the South China Sea, was at the top of the DXCC most-wanted entity list for more than ten years. This video, shot by James Brooks, 9V1YC, describes some of the controversy behind the Scarborough Reef DXCC entity and follows the 2007 DXpedition team in their successful effort to activate this rarest of DXCC entities.
