The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 7:00 pm. Note the special time. The meeting will be in the Ames Public Library, Danfoss Room (2nd floor, near elevator). The address is 515 Douglas Ave, Ames. The program will be "Antenna Tuners" by K0CQ. Jerry will cover why one should use an antenna tuner, the effects of frequency on a center fed wire (both impedance and radiation pattern). Then he will describe tuner circuits with examples on screen and live.

In the program we watch a recording of a webinar by W3LPL- with the title Design, construction, and maintenance of antennas. W3LPL is a well-known contester and owner of the world-champion multi-multi contest station. All are welcome.
