August 1st Summer Break - No Club Meeting but ...

Following tradition, SCARC does not hold the monthly club meeting in August. We do have many other exciting events coming up:

  • Saturday, August 31st 8am - 5pm: SCARC in the Park / SCARC POTA activation - Ledges State Park 100th Anniversary (details)
  • Saturday, August 31st 5pm - 7pm: SCARC Annual Picnic (immediately following SCARC in the Park) (details)
The next monthly meeting is on Thursday, September 5th.

July 11th SCARC Meeting: Field Day Review

Our July program will be a review of SCARC’s recent Field Day activities. ***Note this meeting will be held on the second Thursday of July due to the Independence Day holiday***

NOTE: This meeting will be a "hybrid" meeting, with an in-person gathering in Grand Room 1 at Northcrest Community combined with an online meeting via Microsoft Teams.

2024 Field Day

The Story County Amateur Radio Club (SCARC) will participate in Field Day, an annual nation-wide amateur radio event, on Saturday, June 22, and Sunday, June 23, 2024. We invite the public to join us from 2:00 to 6:00 PM on Saturday or 9:00 AM to noon on Sunday to learn more about amateur radio, emergency preparedness, and the club’s public service activities. We will be located near the ISU College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames at the intersection of South 16th Street and South Riverside Drive near University Avenue.
