The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, November 7, 2013.
The program will be “An Overview of the Story County ARES Emergency Operations Plan,” presented by KC0JUO.
The Story County ARES Emergency Operations Plan provides a general plan for ARES amateur radio operators within Story County to support an emergency situation or other event. Sections of the plan include Pre-Activation, Activation, Operation, Termination, Identification, Security and Access, Media, Safety, Liability, and several Appendixes. There have been major revisions and improvements to the plan recently and all Story County ARES members should make an effort to attend. Copies of the plan will be available at the meeting.
