The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be Thursday, December 4, 2014, at 7:00 pm. Note the special time. The meeting will be in the Ames Public Library, Danfoss Room (2nd floor, near elevator). The address is 515 Douglas Ave, Ames. The program will be "Antenna Tuners" by K0CQ. Jerry will cover why one should use an antenna tuner, the effects of frequency on a center fed wire (both impedance and radiation pattern). Then he will describe tuner circuits with examples on screen and live. Time permitting, Jerry will also discuss limitations of feed lines and how they affect the limitations of tuners. As always, all are welcome.
