The FCC Rules and Regulations stand above all other policies and must be adhered to. Since we are part of the Laurel VEC the Laurel VEC Policy and Procedures apply to our VE Team as well.
This document contains the additional policies specific to the Story County ARC VE Team.
The sponsoring organization is the Story County Amateur Radio Club.
The VE team must have a team leader and one or two deputy team leaders. They must hold an Amateur Extra Class class license, are accredited as a VE by Laurel, and are members of the Story County Amateur Radio Club.
VE team members are encouraged to be members of the Story County Amateur Radio Club but this is not a requirement.
VE team members will be Laurel certified VEs after having gone through the training and attended either a mock or a real examination session.
This policy is maintained and updated by the VE team leaders. No votes are necessary, however the VE team members and the Story County Amateur Radio Club board need to be informed of any policy changes.
