The Story County Amateur Radio Club is inviting hams to participate in a Fox Hunt, or hidden transmitter hunt, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2012, in Ames, Iowa. We request all interested hunters assemble in the parking lot west of Ames City Hall (behind the Ames Veteran’s Memorial, Grand Avenue and 5th Street) to register with the hunt leader and receive the hunt rule briefing. Hunters may be individuals or teams and the fox will be hidden somewhere within the Ames city limits.

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the 4-H building on the southwest corner of 13th Street and Stange Road (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road) in Ames.

The program for the July SCARC meeting will be a discussion and review of the recent field day event.

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the 4-H building on the southwest corner of 13th Street and Stange Road (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road) in Ames.

The program for the June SCARC meeting will be discussion of Field Day preparations.
