The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, December 6, 2012. For this month, we have a different meeting place. We will be meeting . For this month only, the meeting will be held in Conference Rooms A, B, & C next to Bessie Meyers Auditorium on the first floor of the Mary Greeley Medical Center. The closest parking is in the lot north of the Emergency Room. A map will be sent in the announcement to anyone on the SCARC or the CARC mail lists. The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the 4-H building on the south west corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road). The program for the November SCARC meeting will a video covering the HK0NA DXpedition to Malpelo Island, a small volcanic island off the West coast of Colombia. This DXpedition, which took place over a two week period in January and February 2012, made more than 195 thousand QSO. From the video's description:
