As announced previously, N0NI in Rippey will be giving us a tour of his contest station on Saturday October 10, starting at 9am.

We will meet at 7:45am in the parking lot in front of the West Ames McFarland Clinic off of West Lincoln Way (the clinic is closed on Saturdays), near Hy Vee. Then we will leave for Rippey at 8am, sharp. The drive is a little less than one hour from West Ames.

If you are coming from a different direction or already have a full car, you can drive there directly. If you need directions send email to K0KT.

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, October 1, 2009, at the 4-H building on the southwest corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames.

Toni, N0NI, has graciously agreed to give us a tour of his antenna farm and contest station on Saturday October 10 at 9am. All SCARC and CARC members and other interested parties are invited to join us. I expect that we will have a meeting point in West Ames or Boone on Saturday morning at around 8am so that we can drive over in larger groups. Of course, those driving from other directions are welcome to form their own groups and meet at N0NI at 9am. More details will folllow as the date approaches.
