November 2011 SCARC Meeting

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, November 3, 2011, at the 4-H building on the southwest corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road)..

The program for the November SCARC meeting will be a video about the 2011 DXpedition to the South Orkney Islands in the Antarctic.

The video was filmed and produced by 9V1YC, James Brooks. James is a professional and the quality of the video is excellent.

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the 4-H building on the south west corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road). The program for the October SCARC meeting will formal messaging, including a review of the standard ARRL Radiogram and an introduction to using the ICS-213 form to send and receive formal messages. The program will be led by Clint, KC0JUO.

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, September 1, 2011, at the 4-H building on the south west corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road). The program for the September SCARC meeting will be show and tell. Bring something interesting and tell us all about it. Show and tell will be preceded by a discussion of SCARC plans for the coming year.
