The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the 4-H building on the south west corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road). The program for the November SCARC meeting will a video covering the HK0NA DXpedition to Malpelo Island, a small volcanic island off the West coast of Colombia. This DXpedition, which took place over a two week period in January and February 2012, made more than 195 thousand QSO. From the video's description:

The next meeting of the Story County Amateur Radio Club will be at 7:30 pm, Thursday, October 6, 2011, at the 4-H building on the south west corner of 13th Street and Stange Road in Ames (but actually off of Wanda Daley Road). The program for the October SCARC meeting will be presented by KC0JUO and will cover the steps an emcomm volunteer should take to be ready to respond quickly, and be fully prepared to handle their emcomm assignment. Example Preparedness and Go Kits will also be available for viewing.
